In light of the ongoing occupation of Palestine, ethnic cleansing of Palestinians and genocide in Gaza, resources are being compiled here in support of informing our audiences and providing them with tools to better understand the reality of Palestinian people and their lands.
1948 is known for the mass expulsion of over 700,000 of the indigenous population of Palestine known as the 'Nakba' or catastrophe, known to Israel as the year they established their statehood. Subsequently, the consistent dispossession and destruction of Palestinian homes and villages, displacement of the Palestinian people and erasure or appropriation of their culture, has not since ceased. All Palestinians are persecuted as their mere existence is deemed an ‘existential threat’ to the colonising and nationalist Zionist project, a project that cannot succeed if the indigenous population persists. Below is a fraction of the information available to become better informed. We cannot remain silent, from applying pressure on our governments, to having the conversation with our peers, each one of us can play a role in the liberation of an oppressed people. No one is free until we are all free. Free Palestine. More here.
